Fortitude Valley will host one of Brisbane’s biggest record fair events this September as Glitter Records and California Lane present a free, BIGSOUND‑recognised CD & vinyl market in the heart of the Valley. Running Wednesday 2 September and Thursday 3 September, the California Lane CD & Record Fair brings thousands of vinyl records, CDs, and music collectables to one of Brisbane’s most iconic laneway precincts.

One centrepiece of the event is “CD Fest”. CDs have seen a major comeback over the past two years, and the fair is a chance for Glitter Records to bring out a large part of its archive and deadstock for people to explore. The result is a massive 4,000‑CD rummage sale featuring rock, pop, jazz, classical, electronic, world music, film soundtracks and Australian releases.
