According to figures provided by Neilson Music, the Beatles‘ Abbey Road is the best selling vinyl record of the last decade.

Of all of the vinyl records sold between 2010 to 2019, the Fab Four’s 11th album came out on top.

No doubt receiving a healthy boost from a 2019 re-issue celebrating the 50th anniversary of the album’s 1969 release, the record moved no less than 558,000 units in the US.

It was followed closely by Pink Floyd‘s Dark Side of the Moon which shifted 376,000 units.

Neilson’s figures also reveal Abbey Road to be the highest-selling vinyl record of 2019, selling 246,000 copies.

It was trailed by Billie Eilish – an avowed Beatles fanatic who recently covered the group’s White Album track ‘I Will’ – debut album When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?.

When it came to overall US album sales and streams the Beatles ranked a respectable 10, losing out to Taylor Swift‘s Lover which came in at number 1.

Neilson’s figures also suggested that while still falling short of historical peaks, vinyl sales continue to be on the rise.
