Following on from Pitchfork‘s conversation-starting list earlier this October, Discogs has compiled its own definitive ranking of the albums which shaped the 2010s.

Differentiating from critic-led lists, Discogs derive their rankings from the number of times albums were wishlisted or purchased from the organisation’s website.

This, they claim, represents The People’s Choice.

And being one of the largest online retailers of vinyl they might just know.

Gizz fans will be happy to know, not one but five of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard recordings have made their way on to the list.

Of the 15 albums the band has released since 2012, Murder Of The Universe comes in at #170, I’m In Your Mind Fuzz nabs #124, Flying Microtonal Banana claims #107, Nonagon Infinity finds its way to #78 and last but not least is Polygondwanaland at #23. ‘

When it comes topping the list, however, Gizzard has lost out to fellow Australian act Tame Impala.

Kevin Parker’s project appears three times, with InnerSpeaker ranking in at #29, Lonerism landing at #13 and Currents falling at #6.
