Led Zeppelin‘s Jimmy Page has shared an update on his health and wellbeing following the outbreak of COVID-19 in the UK.
“Thank you all for your messages,” the guitarist writes via Instagram. “During this global pandemic, Scarlett Sabet and I are following government guidelines and staying home.”
“Our thoughts are with all those who are suffering from the virus,” he continues, “and the families who have lost loved ones.”
“We are so grateful to all our wonderful National Health Service staff on the frontline and all the essential service workers,” Jimmy Page closes off, “thank you. Stay safe.”
Page’s words follow an earlier statement by partner Scarlet Sabet, who shared the pair were, “like everyone else watching the news and taking precautions.”
The outbreak of the virus has not been without its setbacks for Page.
His forthcoming book Jimmy Page: The Anthology has been delayed for a third time due to the outbreak of the pandemic in Italy where it is currently being printed.
Sabbet and Page have also had to cancel a series of question and answer sessions regarding Scarlett’s spoken word poetry album Catalyst.
With the pandemic currently sweeping across the UK, more than 1,700 citizens have died.
Another 25,150 have been confirmed as carrying the virus.
