Tame Impala mastermind Kevin Parker has released an 18-minute remix of ‘One More Year’.
The remix has appeared as part of’ 24-hour livestream festival Remote Utopias May 3rd.
The London based digital radio station NTS has now uploaded Parker’s rework to its official website.
“A previously unreleased 18-minute Balearic house reimagining of ‘One More Year’ from the prince of psychedelia, Kevin Parker, aka Tame Impala,” writes NTS.
‘One More Year’ is the opening track to Tame Impala’s fourth studio album The Slow Rush.
“I just realized we were standing right here exactly one year ago,” Parker wrote of the track in a commentary accompanying the album on Apple Music, “doing the exact same thing. We’re blissfully trapped. Our life is crazy but where is it going. We won’t be young forever but we sure do live like it. Our book needs more chapters. Our time here is short, let’s make it count. I have a plan.”
All funds raised from the livestream are to be donated to foodbanking charitable initiative The Global Foodbanking Network.
