The stats on King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s colorful career are stacking up fast,” writes Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Festival via its official website. “15 albums in 7 years (including 5 in 2017 alone), 10 of them charting in the Top 20 in Australia, where they are now arguably the country’s most innovative, important and productive rock band.”

International critical acclaim,” they continue, “headline festival appearances, and perhaps most importantly, a fervent worldwide fanbase who share endless memes, mixes, videos, graphics, theories and discussions, all through which they explore and expand what they have termed ‘The Gizzverse’.”

The band will appear at the event on Sunday, May 3rd, toward the close of their 2020 US tour.

King Gizzard will appear alongside fellow Shaky Knees performers The Growlers, Stereolab, Orville Peck, Tennis, Of Monsters & Men, Caroline Rose and The Strokes.

With the group also stopping off at Coachella and Bonnaroo as well as performing marathon three-hour sets at Colorado’s Red Rocks Natural Ampehetre and California’s Greek Theatre, Gizzard will certainly be making their presence known.

And, if accounts of the group’s recent appearances at St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Australia are anything to go by, the band will have some “weird, wild and wonderful” performances in store.
