Ringo Starr Reveals His ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonley Hearts Club Band’ Suit Still Fits

Talking with Extra TV former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr has shared that his Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band uniform still fits.“The suit still fits,” the 79-year-old quipped when presented with a photo of himself in his Sgt. Pepper’s outfit.

Ringo Starr was last known to have worn the pink threads when he Tweeted an image of himself in the iconic threads to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the album’s release in 2017.

With the exception of John Lennon, all of the Beatles donned their Pepper’s costumes on several occasions following the arrival of the album in June 1967.

In November that same year, the four Beatles again took on their Pepper’s alter egos to record a performance of ‘Hello Goodbye’ for film The Magical Mystery Tour.

George Harrison again pulled his on for a ‘Ding Dong‘ film clip in 1974 and again for ‘When We Was Fab‘ in 1987.

Paul McCartney, also having grown nostalgic of his Beatles years in the 1980s, camoed his blue suit in his music video for ‘My Brave Face’.

(Starr and Harrison also paid homage to Pepper’s iconic cover with their own solo albums I’m The Greatest and Dark Horse in the 1970s.)

The Beatles drummer released his 20th and possibly final album What’s My Name? November last year, and in 2020 Ringo will be touring with his All Starr Band.
