Daft Punk Are Currenty Recording Claims Alleged Leak

A document produced by Has It Leaked suggests that Daft Punk are currently in the studio working on a follow up to 2013’s Random Access Memories.

This untitled album, the website claims, will arrive in 2020.

While this proposition should be taken with the proverbial grain of salt, Has It Leaked did correctly predict major 2019 releases from the Gorillaz, Taylor Swift and Eminem.

The document also offered a list of artists who have completed albums this year, accurately including Tame Impala.

Is it possible that Tame be guesting on the new Daft Punk record?

Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker has long expressed his admiration for the French duo.

I hold [Daft Punk] in absolutely legendary regard,” Parker said of the duo in 2018. “They’re so god-like to me, but I don’t even know what I’d do or how I’d do it with them.”

If it did appear in 2020, the release of Daft Punk’s 5th record would coincide with Tame Impala’s own album The Slow Rush, which will arrive on February 14.
