Pink Floyd‘s Roger Waters has not shied away from speaking publicly when it comes to his criticism of the Israeli government.
Now with Waters 2020 US Tour set to commence in July, his outspoken political views have landed him at odds with an unlikely foe: American Major League Baseball.
While Roger had initially advertised his This Is Not A Drill tour via media platforms associated with Major League Baseball, all promotions have been put on halt.
The decision not to advertise Waters’ tour was driven by Jewish advocacy organization B’nai B’rith International, who sent a letter to MLB protesting their association with Waters.
B’nai B’rith are not overly fond of Roger, labeling the former Pink Floyd creative visionary, “an avowed antisemite whose views on Jews and Israel far exceed the boundaries of civil discourse.”
Waters, denies he is antiemetic.
“Life in the Palestinian territories is unbearable,” Waters shared of his beliefs in 2018.
Waters dismisses claims of antisemitism as “nonsensical”.
This is not the only drubbing Waters has taken from Jewish advocacy groups, as the Simon Wiesenthal Center has also communicated that businesses affiliated Waters’ Mexico performance also withdraw their support.
