George Harrison And John Lennon Revealed As Top-Earning Dead Celebrities Of 2019

Former Beatles George Harrison and John Lennon are two of the top 13 highest-earning dead celebrities of 2019 Forbes reports.

Harrison, having earnt an estimated $9 million this year, ranked in at #13.

Like bandmate Lennon, Harrison has benefited from Beatles’ reissues –  as well as the Fab Four’s Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas—vaulting him back into our rankings for the first time since 2011,” Forbes writes of Harrison, who passed away from cancer 2001.

Lennon, whose estate made $14 million, sat closer to #1 at #7.

The 50th anniversary of Abbey Road has boosted the Beatles across streaming and digital—moving 2.2 million U.S. album-equivalents over the past year, more than any defunct act—with Lennon’s own catalogue leaping 52%,” Forbes comments on Lennon, who was shot dead on December 8, 1980.

Other musicians who making the list include Whitney Houston, XXXTENTACION, Nipsey Hussell, Prince, Bob Marley, and Elvis but it’s Micheal Jackson who takes the #1 place having earnt a reported $60 million dollars.

Harrison and Lennon’s former bandmate Paul McCartney who is, despite longstanding rumors to the contrary, still counted amongst the living is also doing well.

According to wealth publication The Richest, Paul is the living richest rockstar of 2019.
