Ringo Starr Urges Fans “Come Together” During COVID-19 Pandemic

Ringo Starr has shared a new message with his fans.
Preaching peace, love, and unity the Beatles drummer has urged his cans “Come Together” during the coronavirus pandemic.
“Let’s come together,” Starr writes. “Come together. Right now. Peace and love.”
Starr, of course, references Abbey Road opening song and John Lennon composition ‘Come Together’.
Lennon originally wrote the song for LSD advocate Timothy Leary.
The acid proponent had intended to the song as a jingle for a presidential campaign prior to being arrested for possession of cannabis in 1968.
Unfortunately for Starr some fans, while approving of the sentiment, have questioned the Beatle‘s choice of words.
The key reason for this is the widespread ban on public gatherings and strict social distancing restrictions in coronavirus affected areas.
Starr’s message follows his recent cancellation fo his 2020 tour on account of the COVID-19 outbreak.
“This is very difficult for me,” Starr shared of the decision, “in 30 years I think I’ve only missed 2 or 3 gigs nevermind a whole tour. But this is how things are for all of us now, I have to stay in just like you have to stay in, and we all know it’s the peace and loving thing we do for each other.”
“We have moved the Spring tour to 2021,” he continued. “My fans know I love them, and I love to play for them and I can’t wait to see you all as soon as possible. In the meantime stay safe. Peace and Love to you all.”
